  Francis K. Poulose

Francis K. Poulose has been in the hospitality industry since 1987.

He spent the last 10 years at Peter Knipp Holdings before leaving his last position as Managing Director, to pursue his dream of starting his own consultancy. Francis joined Peter Knipp Holdings Pte Ltd in October 1998 as Director, Food & Beverage Projects where he was responsible for the F&B Consultancy, Kitchen Design and Event Management divisions of the company. Over 10 years at PKH, Francis was instrumental in the growth of organization, managing more than 40 associates. He led numerous projects which included the restaurant concept development and kitchen design for global luxury hotel chains which included The Ritz-Carlton, Sheraton, Shangri-la, Westin and J.W. Marriott.

He was responsible for the development and execution of the World Gourmet Summit since 1999, which now enjoys the reputation of being Asia’s leading gastronomic event. He also conceptualized and executed the inaugural Wine Gourmet Asia, Macau and Gourmet Asia, Bangkok in 2007.

He began his career with the Hyatt Regency Singapore before joining Raffles Hotel, Singapore where he was awarded a scholarship in Hotel Management. With a forte for marketing and project management, Francis rose to his last position at Raffles Hotel as Manager, Food & Beverage Marketing and Promotions.

Though fully trained in the various disciplines of hotel management, his passion remains in food & beverage. As a renowned industry veteran, his views on the industry continue to be sought by regional and local media.
